Book Group – Non-Fiction

Some of the best reads are about the real world and real people, and truth can be stranger than fiction. And more entertaining – the more so because you have that frisson of excitement because you know it really happened. How about Michael Palin writing about the polar voyages of the “Erebus”?

“Factfulness” by Hans Rosling will challenge many of your pessimistic assumptions about the world. But then Frank Gardner’s autobiographic account of how he ended up in a wheelchair in “Blood and Sand” might give you pause for thought.

This book group will entertain and expand your world view, provide food for thought and some thinking companionship.

Many books are available on Kindle so phone-owners can have their book on the quick-draw at relatively low cost. And you don’t have to worry about what book to choose because you have help there each month.

You will find yourself reading and enjoying books you never even thought of!
